Finances on Eureka school board agenda
EUREKA SPRINGS -- The Eureka Springs School Board has a lengthy agenda planned for its upcoming meeting this Thursday.
The board will review or discuss two items related to the new high school: an update on progress and invoices paid for work on the new high school.
Superintendent Wayne Carr will also update the board on the status of the state's demand for back "excess" millage revenues. Carr said Friday the state is asking the school district to redo its 2011 budget to reflect the $824,000 demand. He said the district has 30 days to respond.
Several routine annual items will be reviewed: the district's master plan, board members' legal liability insurance and the 2011-12 school calendar.
Also on the agenda are board policies, handbook changes, use of stimulus funds for salaries, a request by a local carriage driver to store his carriage at the high school when not in use, the superintendent's and principals' monthly reports and an executive session.
The meeting will take place Thursday, Jan. 20, at 5:30 p.m. at the school administration office at 147 Greenwood Hollow Rd.
