Currents launches in county

Tuesday, November 9, 2010

A new magazine devoted to Carroll County is hot off the presses and waiting to be picked up by interested readers.

Currents is a free quarterly feature magazine devoted to people who live and work in Carroll County. Four times a year, it will entertain with stories about some of the amazing people who call this beautiful corner of Arkansas home. Regular columns include Dr. Jim Fain, a Eureka Springs naturopath, and photographer David Bell, who will let readers in on some tips to improve their own photos. Gardening, restaurant profiles and recipes, and stories about local business people and artists will help round out the magazine.

In future issues we hope to include some interior design ideas and tips and a look inside some of the more interesting homes and buildings in our county, along with movie and book reviews and some outdoor adventures.

Our January issue will include special features devoted to brides-to-be.

Currents is looking for distribution points throughout the county so no one will be missed. The ideal spots will be places where people congregate or wait for services, such as doctors' and dentists' offices, beauty salons, waiting rooms, banks, real estate offices, and grocery stores. The magazine is free to readers and distributors. If anyone is interested in offering this full-color, glossy magazine to their customers, please call Carroll County News Publisher Bob Moore at (870) 423-6636 and we'll get some copies out to you.
