Tiger runners score at district

ELKINS -- The Green Forest High School girls finished second in the district meet for the 1-3A conference Saturday.

Natalie Flippo earned all-conference honors, finishing third overall, with a time of 23:15.

Other top finishers included seventh-place Mabelin Hernandez, with a time of 24:52; and eighth-place Siomara Hernandez, in 24:53.

The boys' team only had four runners, and could not compete for team honors.

Martin Maravillas earned all-conference honors, finishing in third place overall with a time of 17:44.

Other top-ten runners were ninth-place Hayden Poff, in 18:11; and tenth-place Josue Rangel, with a time of 18:50.

The Tiger teams will next compete at the state tournament in Rogers on Saturday, Nov. 6. The state meet includes all classifications.
