Green Forest scores another volleyball win
GREEN FOREST -- The Lady Tigers volleyball team racked up another victory Thursday, defeating Flippin 25-16, 25-11, and 25-16.
Coach Trista Killingsworth said the match went mostly the way she expected, although she said her team was "a little slow reacting."
Killingsworth said the team had "a lot of distractions" with the county fair last week, but they took care of the task at hand.
Kara Heads had six kills in the game. She and Kristen Anderson continue to lead the team, and Killingsworth complimented the play of some of her other players as well.
"Shelby Horton has been a major contributor, and Jessie Kilbourn has improved a lot as well," she said.
The Lady Tigers have only one game on the schedule this week, a home match with Eureka Springs Tuesday evening. A home date with Berryville Sept. 13 looms large. "It's always a big rivalry," Killingsworth said.
The junior high team won by scores of 25-16 and 25-18. "They did a much better job," Killingsworth said. "They set it up quite a bit."
