BERRYVILLE -- Fire on the Mountain will brighten the night sky as planned on July 4.

That's the annual fireworks display in Berryville, set off from the top of Saunders Heights, a Berryville city park that is one of the highest points in the area.

Just a week ago, organizers were still short $2,000 of the $6,000 needed. Tyson's Foods and Tom Riddle, of Riddle Trucking in Green Forest, made up the difference.

A new company, Liberty Pyrotechnics from Joplin, has promised to present an intense 20-minute show.

There will be "no black sky through the whole thing," said Ginger Oaks of the Berryville Chamber of Commerce.

Everyone is encouraged to bring lawn chairs and set up at the ball park, Powell Feed and Milling on Arkansas Hwy. 21 or the Carroll County Fairgrounds, said Regina Williams, one of the volunteer organizers.
