Floyd Priest, a resident of Holiday Island, AR, was born February 6, 1914 in Labam, WA, a son of William and May Frances (McCullough) Priest. He departed this life Thursday, January 28, 2010 in Harrison, at the age of 95.

Mr. Priest worked as a Black Smith for many years. He was a Charter Member of the Southern Heights Baptist Church.

In 1991 he was united in marriage with Elizabeth Hull who survives him of the home. He is also survived by one son, Wayne and daughter-in-law Nancy Priest of Berryville, AR; one daughter, Charlotte Linch of Dardenelle, AR; two step-children, Jan Janison and Virgina Weser; six grandchildren, six great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild; several nieces and nephews, and a host of family and friends.

In 1939 he was united in marriage with Mabel Farmer who preceded him in death. He is also preceded by his parents.

Visitations will be 1 p.m. until service time Tuesday, February 2, 2010 at the Charles M. Nelson Memorial Chapel. Funeral Services will be 2 p.m. Tuesday, February 2, 2010 at the Charles M. Nelson Memorial Chapel in Berryville with Brother Scott Cox officiating. Interment will be at the Berryville Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Nelson Funeral Service, Inc.
