Barbara L. Hamilton, age 80, passed away Friday morning, January 15, 2010, in Berryville, Arkansas. Her burial will be in Kansas City, Missouri, attended by immediate family, on Friday, January 22, 2010.

Barbara was born in Windsor, Missouri, and spent much of her life in Kansas City, Missouri. She was a member of the DAR and a dedicated historian with many interests. In the summer of 2002 she moved permanently to Berryville, Arkansas, where she began experiencing a newfound happiness and restoration. She loved the Ozarks and especially Berryville, of which she fondly referred to as "my town". She endeavored to learn the names of the hills and mountains that surrounded her and knew of all the towns and communities nestled here and there for miles around.

Among her many talents were art, music, poetry and crocheting. Her favorite season was Spring, and one of her favorite pastimes was bird watching.

She attended the First Assembly of God Church in Berryville whenever she could and was a prayer warrior. She loved the Lord and did her best to live according to her beliefs and God's written Word.

We love her and will miss her greatly until that time when we will meet again in Christ. She leaves behind two daughter, Judith Kinnaird of Green Forest, Arkansas and Jan Sangsom of Suwanee, Georgia, four grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren, all of Lincoln, Nebraska.
