William "Bill" Samuelson

William "Bill" Samuelson, age 71, of Springdale died November 29, 2009 at Northwest Medical Center in Springdale. He was born February 12, 1938 in Eureka Springs, the son of Carl and Edith Clark Samuelson.

He was a member of Silent Grove Baptist Church where he was an adult Sunday school teacher and deacon for a number of years. He was a retired salesman from the food industry and had served nine years in the National Guard. He enjoyed woodworking, farming and working at his church.

He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Harold Samuelson and Robert Samuelson.

He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Patricia Winters Samuelson of the home; one son and daughter-in-law, Brian Samuelson and Virginia, of Cave Springs; one daughter and son-in-law, Patrice Glur and Jeff of Lowell; two brothers, Charles Samuelson of California and Fred Samuelson of Iowa; two sisters, Sally Lake of Oklahoma and Rosemary Kitchen of California; four grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were held Wednesday, December 2, 2009 at Memorial Funeral Chapel with Brother Steven Johnson and Timothy Garrison officiating. Pallbearers were Tyler Glur, Jeff Glur, Keith Williford, Bob Jones, Billy Degge and Bill Smith. Honorary pallbearers were Dale Lee and Price Harrell.
