Carroll County News: National News: Eureka Springs Chamber's Woman of the Year (11/20/09)

Susie Bell, right, was recipient of the Eureka Springs Chamber of Commerce's Woman of the Year award at the chamber's 59th annual banquet, held Tuesday evening at the Inn of the Ozarks Convention Center. Bell was cited for her tireless efforts in founding and expanding the Eureka Christian Health Outreach, which offers free medical services for the community. The award, in the form of a painting by Eureka Springs artist Larry Mansker, was presented by RoAnna McDaniel, representing the chamber, as Chamber Executive Director Jeff Feldman looked on. The packed house also heard an entertaining history of the town from banker John Cross, who recounted the many times Eureka Springs' economy has tanked, only to rise again.
