Fannie Pearl Couey

Fannie Pearl Couey, a resident of Springdale, AR, was born November 20, 1932 in Berryville, AR to Coy and Olga (Ary) Farmer. She departed this life Wednesday, October 14, 2009 in Springdale, AR at the age of 76 years.

Mrs. Couey worked for the John Ascuaga's Nugget Casino in Reno, NV for many years, where she was an assistant to the entertainers. She also worked at Glick and Ocoma and was a homemaker.

Mrs. Couey is survived by her two sons, Allen Joy Couey and wife Judy of Woodland, UT; Clint Dale Couey of Berryville, AR; five daughters, Sandra and husband Louis Boyd of Green Forest, AR; Donna White of Springdale, AR; Brenda and husband Loren Sharp of Springdale, AR; Colleen and husband Terry Mattox of Eureka Springs, AR; Melissa and husband Melvin Sullivan of Heber Springs, AR; one sister, Avanell Stiles of Berryville, AR; 23 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren; several nieces, nephews and a host of other family and friends.

On August 13, 1973 she was united in marriage with Harold Raven Couey who preceded her in death. She was also preceded by her parents and one son, Billy Ray Couey.

Visitation will be from 5 until 8 p.m. Friday, October 16, 2009 at the Charles M. Nelson Memorial Chapel in Berryville. Funeral services will be 10:00 A.M. Saturday, October 17, 2009 at the Charles M. Nelson Memorial Chapel with Brother Larry Montgomery officiating.
