Wanda Gean Box

Wanda Gean Box, a resident of Springfield, MO, was born September 14, 1932 in Elk City, KS, a daughter of Ivan and Wilma (Strobele) Hashagen. She departed this life Monday, August 24, 2009 in Springfield, MO, at the age of 76.

Ms. Box was a waitress.

She is survived by one son, Samuel and wife Doris Box of Oak Grove, AR; two daughters, Janice and husband Jimmy Chapin of Blue Eye, MO, Janet Horn of Blue Eye, MO; one sister, Sue and husband Robert Long of Rogersville, MO; one brother, Dale Hashagen of Oak Grove, AR; seven grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews and a host of other family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Samuel (Barney) Box, also her parents, one brother, Fred Hashagen.

Visitation will be from 5 until 8 p.m. Thursday, August 27, 2009 at the Charles M. Nelson Memorial Chapel in Berryville. Graveside services will be 2 p.m. Friday, August 28, 2009 at the Blue Eye Cemetery in Blue Eye, MO, with Reverend Glenda Parton officiating.
