'Stimulus' food distributed at Loaves and Fishes

BERRYVILLE -- "Stimulus" food is making its way to area residents by way of the Obama administration's American Recovery & Reinvestment Act of 2009.
The Act added many more food items to both the Emergency Food Assistance Program and the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program within the USDA commodity distribution.
Loaves & Fishes Food Bank offers commodity distribution to all eligible people in Carroll County.
Clients are to receive their regular allotments -- plus these additional foods to boost assistance for families dealing with current economic conditions.
The "stimulus" foods must be distributed within the next few weeks. Loaves & Fishes Food Bank is open from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays and from 4 to 6 p.m. on Tuesdays. The food bank is located on Bunch Springs Road just south of the Berryville city cemetery.
