While youngsters were beating the heat by taking a plunge into Berryville's municipal pool, lifeguard Kyla Lockhart, 21, of Eureka Springs, was on duty making sure everyone was staying safe and obeying pool rules.
Isabella Bishop, 10, and her friend Sarah Blalack, 11, both of Berryville, were spending their summer days at the Berryville Municipal Pool. Searing hot temperatures weren't bothering them, or their fellow pool pals, who splashed away the day. The pool is open from 12:30 to 6:30 p.m. daily except Sunday. The cost is $3 each, those under 10 must be accompanied by an adult, and under three are admitted free. Pool lessons, passes and parties are available. Call (870) 423-4667 for more information.
