GREEN FOREST -- Lady Tiger scholar athlete Tiana Anderson has earned another honor, this time as a selection from the Arkansas Track Coaches Association to the All-Arkansas Academic Track and Field team.

A banquet was held Saturday, June 6, in Little Rock at the Wyndham hotel. The Top 10 Arkansas Track Athletes and the Top 10 Arkansas Academic Track Athletes were honored.

The academic athletes had to have a certain grade point average, along with a certain ACT score, and then had to have qualified for the state meet to be eligible for the All-Academic team.

Tiana had no problem with the grades as she was Valedictorian of her senior class and has earned a number of scholarships, including the U.S. Army Scholar Athlete Award.

She was also the 3A-1 District discus champion and finished seventh in that event at the Class 3A State meet in Searcy.

One of her proudest achievements is also school related as she went 2,300 days without a miss during her 13 years at Green Forest.
