Bobby Gates

Bobby Gates, a resident of Eureka Springs, AR was born August, 21, 1934, a son of Alan and Maude Gates. He departed this life Friday, May 22, 2009 in Eureka Springs, AR at the age of 75.

Bobby served in the U.S. Air Force and the U.S. Marines. He was owner/operator of the Christian book store "The Gathering Place" in Eureka Springs. He was the pastor of the El Shaddai Ministries in Eureka Springs.

Bobby is survived by wife, Charlene Gates of Eureka Springs, AR; two daughters, Kim Labauve of Baton Rouge, LA; Lorrie Faucheaux of Baton Rouge, LA; one sister, Jean Gates of Louisiana; one step-son, Charles Chambers of Grand Junction, Colorado; four grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews and a host of friends

He was preceded in death by his parents, Alan and Maude Gates, and one step-son, Chad Chambers.

Visitations will be 5 until 8 p.m. Monday, May 25, 2009 at the Charles M. Nelson Memorial Chapel in Berryville. Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Tuesday, May 26, 2009 at the Air Way Chapel with Brother Al Pryor officiating. Interment will be at the Berryville Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Nelson Funeral Service, Inc.
