Norris Kelly Stauffer "Stuffy", 71, of Eureka Springs, AR, passed on Saturday, May 16th at his home. Memorial services will be held Saturday, May 23rd at Peace Lutheran Church, 805 West Olrich Street, Rogers, Arkansas 72756, at 1:30 pm. Memorial contributions suggested to the ACS Hope Lodge, 1120 Pennsylvania Ave, KC, MO 64105 or Grassy Knob Volunteer Fire Association, 12037 Hwy 187, Eureka Springs, AR 72631. Stuffy was born in Wichita, KS, the son of Norris B. and Kathryn Stauffer on Aug. 3, 1937. He was married to Caroline Charlotte Milberger on June 15, 1963. Stuffy was a man of great character, charisma and love. He enjoyed life to its fullest with family and friends.

He was a cherished husband, father and grandfather. Stuffy influenced and shaped the lives of thousands of young athletes during his years as a high school teacher and coach. He challenged young people to achieve more than they ever thought possible. He never met a stranger. With his ever engaging smile and laugh, they were instantly friends. His teams accomplished 18 state championships. His favorite past time was spending family time at Beaver Lake then became his location of retirement in 1996. His strong faith was practiced as an active member of his church. He served as President of the Grassy Knob Fire Department. Stuffy was preceded in death by his sister Judy Cooper. Stuffy is survived by his wife Caroline, his son Norris and Jennifer Stauffer, two daughters Stephanie & Richard Pitts and Susan and Jim Siler and nine grandchildren.
