Wanda spent most of her childhood years in Kansas, but moved back to Arkansas with her family after her high school graduation. Shortly afterward, she met and married Clarence and moved to the farm in Clifty. Wanda spent four decades on the farm, raising kids, cows and vegetables. With her help, the farm was a successful operation, and the family was awarded the honor of Madison County Farm Family of the Year in 1999. She attended church for many years at Clifty Freewill Baptist and most recently attended Hindsville First Baptist Church. She loved to read, sew, garden, cook and can. She sewed many clothes for her kids over the years, and did amazing things for her family with the resources she had. Education was very important to her, and she was extremely proud of the fact that seven of her eight kids had a college degree, and Bethany will soon be number eight. After most of her kids were out of the house, Wanda went back to the University of Arkansas and got her paralegal certificate. She then went to work for W.G. Hall in Huntsville, where she thoroughly enjoyed and excelled at her job for five years. She has spent the years since then watching grandkids and working around the farm.
