GREEN FOREST -- The Bobcat baseball team took the mound against the Green Forest Tigers on Tuesday, March 17, in a battle that lasted eight innings, with the Bobcats pulling out an 11-10 win.

The teams face off again on Saturday at 10 a.m. in Berryville for a 9-inning match.

March 17- Berryville was down four runs going into the seventh, with Dylan Gibbs making it in for one run. Then Eric Holman blasted a 2-out, 3-run homer to tie the game at 10-10 with Justin Doss and Shane Kesler scoring in front of Holman.

"Green Forest used their bunts to move their runners along, but we were able to hit a little bit and take advantage of some errors," Bobcat coach Mark Brigance said.

In the top of the eighth Green Forest advanced a runner to second but failed to score, then Berryville got a double from Adam Noble.

Doss provided the winning hit, his first of the game, a two-out single that scored Noble.

Berryville also played games leading up to the Green Forest match.

March 13- Berryville faced Harrison and lost 10-0 in six innings. "We did some good things, hit the ball a little," Brigance said.

March 16- The Bobcats lost 13-1 in four innings to Shiloh Christian in a game where they only had four hits.

March 20- Huntsville took a 14-1 win the day spring break started, causing Coach Brigance to say, "I was pretty disappointed. We did better against them last time. We had six errors and as many walks."
