Mary Helen Glisson, 74, of Berryville, died Feb. 21, 2009, at St. John's Hospital in Berryville. She was born May 21, 1934, at Painesville, Ohio, the daughter of Charles Elwood and Anna Almira Tasker Lepley.

She was a retired insurance agent for Farmers' Mutual Insurance Company and owner and principal broker of Mary Glisson Real Estate.

She was a member and lay leader of Shiloh  United Methodist Church at Dry Fork, a member of Arkansas Democratic Women, and member and past matron of Huntsville Chapter #487, Order of the Eastern Star.

She was preceeded death by two brothers, Robert Lepley and Allen Leply, and by one sister, Anna Isabell Ford.

Survivors include her husband, Jimmie Melton Glisson Sr., of the home, who she married on March 7,1953; one son and daughter-in-law, James Melton Glisson Jr. and Karen Glisson, of Berryville; two daughters and one son-in-law, Paula Christine Glisson, of Berryville, and Cynthia Ann and Terry Burket, of Green Forest; one brother and sister-in-law, Herman Paul and Marlene Lepley, of Westerville, Ohio; two sisters and one brother-in-law, Mildred Louise and Richard Grant Kelley, and Doris May Parker, all of Berryville; two grandsons, Trace Glisson III, of Berryville, and Jered Glisson, of Green Forest; one granddaughter, Lacey Ayn Farmer, of Green Forest; one great-grandson, Layton James Glisson IV, of Berryville; and several nephews and nieces.

A memorial service was slated for 2 p.m. today, Friday, Feb. 27, at Shiloh United Methodist Church at Dry Fork with the Rev. Michael Callahan and Jerry Nichols officiating.
