Emerald O. Carlson

Emerald O. Carlson, 66, of Humboldt Kan., passed away Saturday, Feb. 14, 2009, at her home. She was born in Blue Eye, Ark., on April 21, 1942, the daughter of Joy and Clellie (Peden) Terherst.

She attended schools in Blue Eye, and later earned her associate's degree in business at NCCC.

Emerald was united in marriage to Dale Lee Carlson on Feb. 5, 1999, in Miami, Okla. He survives.

She was a homemaker.

Along with her husband, Dale, she is survived by four sons, Derrell Isaacs of Texas, Justin Isaacs of Missouri, James and Jason Carlson, both of Kansas; two daughters, Tammy Jesseph and Raymona Wright of Kansas; 13 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; three brothers, J.T., Owen, and Cecil Terherst, all of Arkansas and one sister, Josephine Clark, of Arkansas.

She was preceded in death by her parents; a brother, Charles Michael Terherst; a daughter Christine Isaacs; and two grandsons, Talon Isaacs and Dale Jesseph Jr.

Cremation has taken place.

Graveside services will be held at 4 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 21, 2009, at Blue Eye Cemetery, Blue Eye, Ark.
