Dec. 29

9:40 a.m. - A vehicle parked for two weeks in the same space at Carroll Center was checked by police, who left a note for the vehicle owner, who had a Harrison address.

10 a.m. - A theft from vehicle report was filed for a Swofford complainant.

10:43 a.m. - Theft from a vending machine at the hospital required a report.

11:20 a.m. - Theft from a vehicle on East College required a report.

11:45 a.m. - Breaking and entering was reported at a Country Court address. A report was filed.

1:46 p.m. - A locksmith was summoned to the Walmart parking lot after police were unable to unlock a vehicle for a motorist.

5:20 p.m. - Dispatched to an Orchard address for a welfare concern, police advised the subject to call his daughter.

6:21 p.m. - Police were dispatched to Country Court because a subject was reportedly pointing a gun at someone. A female subject was arrested.

11:26 p.m. - A pedestrian was stopped at the junction of Freeman and Linda streets and arrested for public intoxication.

Dec. 30

10:23 a.m. - Dispatched to Ozark Guidance to provide a motorist assist, police were able to unlock a vehicle for a motorist.

2:56 p.m. - Dispatched to the police department, police met with a subject who wanted their two-week-old incident complaint noted.

3:13 p.m. - No one was around when police arrived at the junction of Orchard and Rice to check out a report of kids playing in the street unsupervised.

Dec. 31

2:39 a.m. - A traffic stop on a suspicious vehicle turned out to be okay once the officer determined the driver was the newspaper lady.

6:39 a.m. - Police were dispatched to a Pritchard address because a subject wanted to speak to an officer.

8:33 a.m. - Dispatched to the adult probation office, police provided a prisoner transport of a subject to jail.

9:46 a.m. - Dispatched to Pleasant Street to check on two trucks possibly parked illegally, police checked and noted there were no violations observed.

1:05 p.m. - A medication theft required a report, which was filed when the complainant came to the police department.

1:40 p.m. - A two-vehicle traffic accident at Walmart required a report.

1:45 p.m. - A protection order complaint was resolved when the parties decided it was a misunderstanding.

2:15 p.m. - A funeral escort was provided.

3:25 p.m. - An adult female was arrested for shoplifting at Walmart.

4:11 p.m. - A reportedly erratic driver at Garners was contacted and found to be okay.

6:50 p.m. - A brush fire on Freeman turned out to be a controlled burn.

7:46 p.m. - A motorist assist at St. John's Clinic was provided.

8:32 p.m. - Police checked out a man walking around a vehicle behind Hanby Lumber, who turned out to be someone looking for his wallet.

9:18 p.m. - A traffic stop for reckless driving on Trinnen Lane resulted in a DWI arrest.

10:13 p.m. - A tan Kia with fictitious tags at Tyson Foods was reported, but not found.

Jan. 1

12:25 a.m. - Dispatched to the Public Square for a disturbance, police filed a report that included a broken window.

12:35 a.m. - Responding to a report of subjects fighting at the corner of Chafin and Laura streets, police said nothing unusual was observed, and all appeared okay.

1:55 a.m. - A motorcycle accident on North Springfield Street, south of County Junction, resulted in the arrest of a juvenile for DWI, no driver's license, no insurance, and no vehicle license.

3:46 a.m. - Police could not locate a speeding vehicle, with flashers on, reportedly near the Exxon station.

12:11 p.m. - Dispatched to a Public Square address, police met with a broken window complainant.

4:40 p.m. - Dispatched to the emergency room, police filed a report regarding a subject complaining of being pushed and bruised.

8:54 p.m. - Dispatched to the Dollar General store parking lot to check out a suspicious vehicle, police found everything okay, it was a subject working on his radio.

Jan. 2

12:07 a.m. - Police were asked to telephone a subject who wanted to talk about filing a report.

1:58 a.m. - An occupied vehicle in the First Freewill Baptist Church lot was checked. All was okay.

10:05 a.m. - A suspect who dumped trash at a machine shop business was contacted and cleaned up the mess.

11:32 a.m. - Dispatched to the east city limits to look for a reckless driver, police reported they did not find the suspect.

12:43 p.m. - Police went to a Carroll Road 312 address to verify the residence of a sex offender.

1:53 p.m. - A stolen vehicle license report was filed at the request of a Country Court resident.

2:20 p.m. - A two-vehicle traffic accident near Brashears required a report.

2:42 p.m. - A reckless driver near the Hong Kong Inn was not found.

3:25 p.m. - A two-vehicle accident at Hwy. 62 and Freeman Switch required a report.

4:27 p.m. - A civil dispute over repossession was mediated by police who were dispatched to the Sunrise Motel.

5:40 p.m. - Found property at the Berryville Community Center was turned over to police.

10 p.m. - Investigating a report of a gunshot near the Farm Bureau building, police determined it was a vehicle backfire.

Jan. 3

7:25 a.m. - A broken window was discovered at Worley's Rental and required a report.

9:09 a.m. - Dispatched to a West View address for a medical alarm, police contacted the subject and reported all was okay.

1:04 p.m. - Dispatched to a Phillips address because an unwanted person was at the residence, police arrested a subject for possession of drug paraphernalia.

1:23 p.m. - A neighbor dispute over noise was mediated by police who got both neighbors to agree to keep the noise level down.

7:24 p.m. - A domestic dispute at Glen Echo Trailer Park turned out to be verbal only, and police mediated the disagreement.

8:07 p.m. - Dispatched to the hospital because subjects were smoking, police advised them to go off grounds.

9 p.m. - Police assisted a sheriff's deputy with a shots fired call on CR 608.

9:28 p.m. - Money missing from a kid's piggy bank at a Nunez Lane apartment prompted a call to police, who filed a report.

Jan. 4

12:09 a.m. - A faulty headlight led to a traffic stop, which resulted in the arrest of a female adult who was wanted on a Harrison warrant.

7:42 a.m. - A motorist parked on the side of the highway with the vehicle trunk open was checked by police, who found everything okay.

9:47 a.m. - An open door at a building at Heritage park was secured after police checked inside.

2:29 p.m. - Dispatched to the Public Square, police attempted to locate a vehicle with intoxicated subjects, but it was gone.

2:28 p.m. - A possible intoxicated driver was gone when police responded to a report of the motorist driving through town.

3:31 p.m. - Dispatched to a tire shop to check on a suspicious person, police encountered a subject who was okay.

6:10 p.m. - A domestic disturbance was mediated and resolved after police arrived at an East Freeman address.

8:09 p.m. - A man and woman screaming at each other behind the Carr building agreed to go inside and be quiet.

9:03 a.m. Dec. 29 - The BFD responded to a false Kerusso alarm.

6:48 p.m. Dec. 31 - The BFD responded to a brush pile fire on Hanna Street that turned out to be a controlled burn.

2:27 p.m. Jan. 1 - The BFD responded to a grass and brush fire on CR 4203, reportedly a trash fire that got out of control.

12:04 a.m. Jan. 4 - The BFD responded to a hay bale fire on Ark. Hwy. 143, near the state line. It was two hay bales that apparently fell off a truck alongside the road that someone ignited as arson.
