Carroll County News: Local News: Meet Carroll County's first baby of 2009 (01/06/09)

Proud parents Jennifer Lawler-McGee and Daren McGee of Eureka Springs posed with their daughter, Makenzie Brooke McGee, who was the first baby of 2009 born at St. John's Hospital -- Berryville, arriving at 10:15 p.m., Thursday, Jan. 1, delivered by Dr. Michael Marvin and Certified Nurse Midwife Anita Rissler. She weighed in at 7 pounds, 5.7 ounces, and was 20 inches in length. Her maternal grandparents are Don and Ratha Lawler of Eureka Springs. Paternal grandparents are Wayne McGee and Sherry McGee, both of Bastrop, La. As the first baby of the year at St. John's, Makenzie Brooke received the following: a gift basket from St. John's Hospital and its auxiliary; gifts from St. John's Clinic in Berryville, Walmart, Poynor Drug, and Economy Drug; plus $25 gift certificates from Harps and The Medicine Chest; a gift basket from Community First Bank; and a Chester Investor savings account with $25 from First Federal Bank.
