Eureka Springs Dispatches for the Dec. 30, 2008 issue - addendum

These calls were inadvertantly left out of the Tuesday, Dec. 30 issue:

Dec. 21

1:03 a.m. -- A caller advised that two males were fighting on Spring Street above Jack's Place. Officers search the area, but the suspects were gone upon arrival.

10:09 a.m. -- A caller expressed concern about the cold weather and the waver at 1876 Inn. The waver was dressed for the weather, and no action was taken.

3:27 p.m. -- A caller advised that doors were open at Morgan Real Estate and no one was around. An officer located the owner at a nearby house and everything was all right.

5:15 p.m. -- A caller advised that a traffic accident had taken place by the Ozark Mountain Hoe-Down. An officer contacted the owner, who did not need a report as there was no property damage and the problem was a mechanical issue.

7:14 p.m. -- A caller advised that a car was sitting at the Eureka Springs Cemetery with no lights on. The car was gone when officers arrived.

Dec. 22

7:41 a.m. -- A patrolman found the door open at Eureka Kids. The lights were on, but there was no damage.

11:20 a.m. -- A subject came in to the police department for a driver's license and was arrested on an outstanding warrant.

11:21 a.m. -- A major leak was reported at Super 8 Motel, coming through the ceiling and light fixtures. Public Works was contacted.

11:38 a.m. -- An anonymous caller complained of a brindle Pit Bull mix dog running loose in the Oak Ridge area. Information was given to the animal control officer.

3:26 p.m. -- A caller at Carroll House Apartments reported that a teenager had run away, but the teenager showed up before an officer arrived.

Dec. 24

8:49 a.m. -- A caller at Carroll House Apartments reported that she had an intruder. It was determined that medications were causing her to hallucinate.

Dec. 26

4:24 p.m. -- A caller at 1876 Inn reported that an X Box had been stolen two weeks earlier.

Dec. 27

9:25 a.m. -- A caller at Spring Street Unique Items reported that a car was parked on Spring Street by the library and blocked part of the road so that trollys could not get through. An officer made contact and the car was moved.

8:17 p.m. -- A caller on Benton Street reported trees and power lines were down, causing a traffic jam.

10:29 p.m. -- Police responded to a Spring Street apartment where loud music and banging was reported.

10:37 -- A caller at Pied Piper Pub and Inn reported that a man was giving the waitress problems. He was gone upon arrival of police.

11:47 p.m. -- A caller at a Spring Street residence reported that a domestic disturbance was taking place across the street. A report was taken.

11:47 p.m. -- A caller on Spring Street reported that a loud domestic disturbance was taking place across the street from him, with loud cursing and things being thrown.

11:49 p.m. -- A caller at a Spring Street residence reported that he was a victim in a domestic disturbance. Emergency Medical Services were contacted and transported one to Eureka Springs Hospital, and reports were taken.

Dec. 28

9:18 a.m. -- The victim in the 11:49 p.m. incident on Dec. 27 asked to speak to an officer.

11:40 a.m. -- A person was stopped at Spring and Main streets for making an illegal turn. He was arrested for driving on a suspended license out of New Mexico.

12:58 p.m. -- A possibly intoxicated person was reported to have pulled into Alpine Liquor, but was gone when officers arrived.

1:10 p.m. -- A caller on East Mountain reported that a vehicle was in the driveway of an empty house. The vehicle was gone when police arrived.

1:36 p.m. -- Four subjects were reported to have left New Delhi Café without paying, and a report was made.

1:50 p.m. -- A vehicle was reported leaking gasoline on Spring Street, but it had evaportated by the time an officer arrived on the scene.

5:48 p.m. -- A caller reported a minor traffic accident on Singleton, and a report was taken.

9:23 p.m. -- A caller reported that a motorcycle was speeding on U.S. Hwy. 62 East, passing on the right and with no lights on. An officer was unable to locate the motorcycle.

Dec. 29

12:15 a.m. -- A caller reported a two-car traffic accident in front of the parking lot at Hart's Family Center, and a report was taken.

EMERGENCY MEDICAL SERVICES

Dec. 10

8a.m. -- Medical personnel respoded to U.S. Hwy. 62 West where a vehicle had slid off the road. Injuries were unknown, but the person was still in the vehicle.

Dec. 16

2:25 p.m. -- Medical personnel responded to Brighton Ridge to transport a dehydtrated patient to Eureka Springs Hospital.

Dec. 19

2:03 p.m. -- Medical personnel responded to a Lifeline call at a Jay Lane residence where a person had fallen and was experiencing arm, shoulder and back pain. The subject was transported to Eureka Springs Hospital.

Dec. 20

11:50 a.m. -- A caller on Spring Street advised that a female had collapsed and was still breathing but not able to wake up.
