Dec. 22

11:41 a.m. - A 911 hang-up call on Phillips required a response. No action was necessary.

11:30 p.m. - Loud music reported at a Country Court address could not be heard by authorities who responded to a complaintant's call.

11:30 p.m. - Loud music on Redbud was heard, and turned down upon request.

Dec. 23

11:04 a.m. - An Exxon ATM alarm turned out to be false.

11:35 a.m. - A theft of services report was filed at a city machine shop.

12:42 p.m. - A traffic accident on the Public Square required a report.

1:50 p.m. - A female adult was arrested for shoplifting at Walmart and taken to jail.

2:43 p.m. - A theft that occurred two weeks earlier was reported.

5:30 p.m. - Police assisted state police with a traffic stop at the east city limits.

9:50 p.m. - A McKennon subject wanted police to document harassing phone calls.

Dec. 24

12:08 a.m. - Dispatched to a lumber company to check on two subjects observed at the business, police reported no one was located when they checked the area.

7:19 a.m. - An unruly patient at the hospital required standby.

11:16 a.m. - Dispatched to the Public Square, police noted that a flower pot was taken as reported.

12:56 p.m. - A video game manager called police to say an item purchased was likely stolen, but the suspect was gone.

3 p.m. - A liquor store alarm required a response. All was okay.

4:24 p.m. - Dispatched to a McKennon address, police did find a dog in the yard but were unable to locate its owner.

4:52 p.m. - Kids playing in the street prompted a Cane resident to call police, who spoke to the youth about the unsafe situation.

5 p.m. - A Walmart shoplifter was ticketed and released.

6:55 p.m. - A missing child case was short-lived. The child was returned. It was a custody matter dispute.

8:26 p.m. - Dispatched to a Nunez Lane apartment because a baby was not breathing, an officer initiated CPR and went with the ambulance.

Dec. 25

9:40 a.m. - Police were dispatched to a Champion Hills address in response to a rape complaint.

10:45 a.m. - A Sonic alarm was checked and everything was found to be secure.

2:15 p.m. - The rape investigation continued at the hospital.

Dec. 26

10:31 a.m. - A domestic disturbance on North Springfield required a response but no action since one of the disputing parties departed.

11:20 a.m. - A two vehicle accident near the Catholic church required a report.

1:03 p.m. - A male adult was arrested for shoplifting at Walmart.

3:24 p.m. - Police assisted a state trooper with a felony arrest.

5:09 p.m. - Dispatched to Walmart because a car door caused vehicular damage, police discovered that the people did not want a report, but to exchange information instead.

5:33 p.m. - An alarm at Meeks was checked. All was okay.

Dec. 27

1:55 a.m. - A one vehicle traffic accident resulted in the arrest of a motorist, who was booked on a DWI charge.

12:03 p.m. - Police provided standby at the school until an employee arrived to deal with a storm damaged window.

2:27 p.m. - A male adult was arrested for shoplifting at Walmart.

2:52 p.m. - A private property traffic accident at Castle Rental and Pawn required a report.

3:35 p.m. - A reported rain gutter in the street at the intersection of Freeman and Cherry was removed prior to police arrival.

6 p.m. - Police looked for a possible DWI driver.

6:02 p.m. - Dispatched to LaBarge for a possible traffic accident police found none.

Dec. 28

12:50 a.m. - A male adult was arrested for DWI after a traffic stop was initiated for careless driving.

12:20 p.m. - Dispatched to a Cherry address because a dog was hurt by a fighting stray, police said the animal control officer would be following up.

12:50 p.m. - Dispatched to a tractor sales lot to check an alarm, police reported that all was okay.

1:25 p.m. - A female subject was arrested when police responded to a Campbell Street domestic disturbance.

2:08 p.m. - A two vehicle traffic accident required a report.

3:37 p.m. - A cow out on Locust required a police response and owner identification that followed.

5:05 p.m. - Police spoke to a subject about kids.

6:49 p.m. - A bank alarm checked out to be okay.

7:52 p.m. - A battery complaint resulted in a court citation.

Department

The BFD responded to a bank alarm on Saturday and to a Kerusso alarm on Monday. Both were false alarms.
