Eureka Springs Dispatches for the Dec. 2, 2008 issue

Nov. 22

9:35 a.m. - A caller at Main Stage reported that a water pipe was broken and water was gushing all over the road. Public works was notified and an officer was able to shut of the valve.

9:45 a.m. - A caller near Eureka Springs Hospital reported that a water main was broken nearby. Public works was advised, and an officer was able to turn off the irrigation which was leaking. Public works was not needed.

11:36 a.m. - A woman at Bavarian Inn reported damage done to a room, and a report was filed.

1:18 p.m. - A woman at Palace Hotel and Bath House reported an accident that happened earlier, and a report was taken.

3:50 p.m. - A called at PJ's Laundry reported that a door had been broken into, and an officer took a report.

4:23 p.m. - A caller near Harmon Park wanted to speak with officer about dogs. An officer made contact with the subject.

6:15 p.m. - A caller at Hart's advised that a possibly drunk driver was there in a Toyota truck. An officer was advised and checked the situation, and everything seemed to be okay.

Nov. 23

2:20 p.m. - Berryville Police requested assistance in locating a person. The subject was gone upon arrival

6:28 p.m. - Emergency Medical Services requested assistance with a woman on Pivot Rock Road who tried to commit suicide.

Nov. 24

11:45 a.m. - A caller reported that a pay station was not accepting currency. The battery was dead.

12:30 p.m. - A caller reported graffiti at Skateboard Park.

9:45 p.m. -- A woman on Pine Street was reported to be intoxicated, angry, and hitting glass windows. A female was taken to the hospital and a report was taken.

Nov. 25

10:05 p.m. - A car was reported to have missed the driveway at Travelers Inn and landed in a ditch. No injuries were reported.

8:56 p.m. - Persons were discovered at the nativity scene at Basin Park and were warned.

Nov. 28

11:45 a.m. - An attempt to locate was underway at Basin Park when an item went missing.

4:28 p.m. - Suspicious persons in Basin Park turned out to be people in the grand stand.

4:46 p.m. - Illegal parking reported on Spring was a vehicle parked in front of a fire hydrant.

7:54 p.m. - Four responding officers took care of a domestic disturbance at Inn of the Ozarks.

Nov. 29

5:38 a.m. - A subject was arrested for public intoxication after police received multiple complaints on a white Tahoe in the Pine Mountain Jamboree parking lot.

10:02 p.m. - A bipolar subject involved in a verbal argument with his wife was found by police, at the request of the wife, and he voluntarily went to the hospital.

11:47 p.m. - East Van Buren people who were involved in a disturbance agreed to separate for the night when three officers intervened.
