Southern Heights Upward basketball league to begin

BERRYVILLE -- Southern Heights Baptist Church is now accepting registration for its Upward Basketball and Cheerleading leagues, a Christ-centered sports ministry for boys and girls, kindergarten through sixth grade.

The six-game season will open Saturday, Jan. 17, and run through Saturday, Feb. 21, 2009. Players will also have a weekly one-hour practice. All games and practices will be held at the Berryville Community Center.

Player evaluations will be held Saturday, Dec. 6, and Monday Dec. 8, at the community center.

Pre-registration is $55 if received by Nov. 24. Registration received after this date is $65. Final registration deadline is Dec. 8.
