Austin, Texas-based guitarist and singer-songwriter Guy Forsyth will perform a free concert in Eureka Springs on Oct. 17 as part of the city's Dance In The Park After Dark series. The show begins at 7 p.m. at Basin Spring Park in the center of Eureka Springs' historic district.

Forsyth, whose music is a mixture of blues, rock, folk and Americana styles, has four CDs to his credit, the most recent being 'Calico Girl." He leads his own band, as well as a group called the Asylum Street Spankers.

"What you'll hear is one of the country's best blues-rock-folk ensembles," according to city publicist, Ken Rundel. "It'll be loud, raw and raucous at times, hauntingly beautiful, thought-provoking and insightful at other times."

More information on Forsyth, as well as an entertaining homepage video, is online at www.guyforsyth. com.
