SALLISAW, Okla. --The third race on the Monday, Sept. 29, performance at Blue Ribbon Downs featured a local horse, owned and trained by Danny Smith of Berryville.

Forgot the Time was ridden to victory by Cody Worst as the duo covered five furlongs in :58 seconds flat over the fast track.

It was the first of three Thoroughbred races on the day, as a field of seven Oklahoma-bred horses hit the track running for the claiming price of $3,500.

After hooking up with Gray Cinnamon in a battle for the lead in the early stage of the contest, Forgot the Time shook free from his rival with a quarter mile remaining in the race and coasted home to a three length victory over Call Me Woofie and Boomer Risk.

A six-year-old son of Bonus Time Cat, Forgot the Time was making his twenty-fourth career start, and in doing so picked up career victory number five. All told, Forgot the Time has landed inside the top three in eleven of his career finishes, and has earned over $27,000 in his career.
