Self-defense class offered at Berryville Community Center

A six-hour, three-session women's self-defense course is being offered at the Berryville Community Center beginning this Saturday, Oct. 11.

The National Security Alliance and the BCC Karate Club are presenting the course, which teaches: profiles of predators, how to control fear and have courage, understanding the common lures of predators; defense against lures, understanding street awareness, and how to defend yourself.

The course will be held three consecutive Saturdays, from 10 a.m. until noon, beginning this Saturday. The cost is $40 and sign-up is required by calling the BCC at (870) 423-3139.
