Memorial services for William Skalak, 53, of Berryville, will be held at 6 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 5, 2008, at Thorncrown Chapel in Eureka Springs with Rev. Doug Reed officiating. Burial will be at a later date in Cedar Park Cemetery in Calumet Park, Ill.

Arrangements and cremation are under the direction of Greenlawn Funeral Home of Branson, Mo.

Mr. Skalak died Saturday, Sept. 27, at his home.

He was born on July 28, 1955, in Chicago, Ill., the son of Charles J. and Lorraine Misup Skalak. He was a carpenter and had been a resident of Berryville for several years.

Survivors include a daughter, Jennifer McDonald of El Cajon, Calif.; his mother, Lorraine Robinson of Blue Eye, Mo.; one brother, Charles S. Skalak of Tracy, Minn.; and a sister, Carol Skalak of Marion, Ind.

Memorial contributions are suggested to the Lives Under Construction Ranch at Lampe, Mo., or Thorncrown Chapel in Eureka Springs.
