Foundation taking apps for fall charity funding

Friday, September 5, 2008
Carroll County Community Foundation (CCCF) will offer grant funding opportunities for local public charities this fall. All Carroll County non-profit agencies, churches, schools or local governments are invited to apply.

Application forms for grants are available at all public libraries in Carroll County. Applications may also be obtained via e-mail to cccfed@cox-internet.com, or by calling(479) 253 8203.

Grant proposals must be hand-delivered or postmarked by 5 p.m. Sept. 27. Proposals must be delivered or sent to the Carroll County Community Foundation office, 149 Huntsville Road, Eureka Springs, AR 72632, located in the lower level of the First National Bank of Berryville in Eureka Springs.

Carroll County Community Foundation is an affiliate of the Arkansas Community Foundation, which was established in 1977 and has assets of more than $130 million. CCCF has awarded more than $57,000 in grants to Carroll County charities over the last six years. CCCF is directed by a board of community leaders representing all parts of the county.

CCCF also offers a means for individuals, families and businesses to establish charitable endowments for causes and charities that are important to them. These endowments are an easy, flexible, tax-deductible way to benefit our local charities now and forever.

For more information on grants or endowments contact Sharon Spurlin, executive director, at the e-mail or phone number above .
