Doyle Max Nelson
DOYLE MAX NELSON, 72, of Lenore, Idaho, died Aug. 21, 2008, at his home. He was born Sept. 13, 1935, at Blue Eye, Mo., to the late Ira and Hazel (Hutchison) Nelson.
He was a 1955 graduate of Blue Eye High School, and served as a gunnery sergeant in the U.S. Marines from July 1955 to August 1975. He served two tours of duty in Okinawa, Japan, and two tours of duty in Vietnam. He then worked as a supervisor at a local cemetery in Escondido, Calif., until he retired. He finally moved to Lenore.
He is survived by his wife, Veronica Colleen Nelson, of the home; three sons, Jimmy Nelson, of Branson, Mo., David Nelson, of Big Lake, Minn., and Doyle Nelson, of the home; two daughters, Bambi Williams, of North Carolina, and Kelly Meeks, of Branson, Mo.; three brothers, Charles Nelson, of Caledonia, Mo., Larry Nelson, of Ashford, V. Wa., and Rick Nelson, of Sparta, Mo.; two sisters, Betty Parton, of Blue Eye, Mo., and Sue Bowman, of Green Forest; 10 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents.
