SABINA VERONICA FAVACHO, a resident of Eureka Springs, was born Dec. 28, 1943, in Shanghai, China, daughter of Edward M. and Josephine M. (Visi) Guterres. She died Sunday, Aug. 17, 2008, at her home in Eureka Springs, at the age of 64.

Mrs. Favacho was a member of the Lay Carmelite Community of St. Anne's in Berryville and the St. Elizabeth Catholic Church in Eureka Springs.

On Nov. 25, 1986, she was united in marriage with William H. Sehlmeyer, who survives her of the home. She is also survived by one son, Frank Favacho and wife Amy of Austin, Texas; two daughters, Antonia Favacho and husband Brent Woodell of Tierra Verde, Fla., and Dorothy and husband Matthew Romero of Fort Worth, Texas; one sister, Jackie Friedman of Jacksonville, Fla.; six grandchildren, Matthew and Nicolas Soto, Veronica Romero, Christian, Braeden and Reilly Favacho.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her first husband, Francis E. Favacho.

Rosary services were held Tuesday, Aug. 19, 2008, at Nelson's Chapel of the Springs. Funeral services were held Wednesday, Aug. 20, 2008 at St. Elizabeth Church in Eureka Springs with Father Thomas Arackel officiating.
