DAISY WORLEY, a resident of Berryville, was born June 28, 1922, in the Chaplin Community near Rock House, a daughter of Fred L. and Nora Arizona (Scates) Doss. She died Saturday, Aug. 9, 2008, in Berryville, at the age of 86.

Mrs. Worley was of the Baptist faith.

She is survived by two daughters, Lula Belle Bryant and Lavone Worley both of Berryville; two sons, F.L. Worley and wife Phyllis of Berryville, and Jim Worley and wife Betty of Huntsville; two brothers, George Doss of Berryville, and Clarence Doss of Fayetteville; seven sisters, Daily Harp of Berryville, Jessie Willhite of Charleston, Ark., Lorene Walker and Lola Thompson both of Huntsville, Ina Worley and Carolyn Burney both of Berryville, and Freddie Ray of Green Forest; five grandchildren, Scott Worley and wife Kam, Tammy Bryant, Heath Worley and wife Lisa, and Heather and husband Josh Smith, all of Berryville, and Jimmy Worley of New Orleans, La.; four great-grandchildren, Tayler Worley of Missouri, Brady Smith, Ashlin Smith, and Kamryn Smith, all of Berryville; several nieces and nephews, many other relatives, and a host of friends.

On Nov. 16, 1940, she was united in marriage with Fred Harvey Worley, who preceded her in death. She was also preceded by her parents and one sister, Bonnie Reynolds.

Funeral services were held Thursday, Aug. 14, 2008, at the Charles M. Nelson Memorial Chapel with Brother Larry Montgomery officiating. Interment followed at the Berryville Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Nelson Funeral Service. Memorial donations may be made to the Carroll County Senior Center, 202 W.
