JAMES KELLY BISHOP, a resident of Alpena, was born Feb. 21, 1965, in West Point, N.Y. , a son of Jimmy Joy and Virginia Ginger Eileen Bishop. He died Tuesday, Aug. 5, 2008, in his home in Alpena at the age of 43.
Mr. Bishop was a devoted family man and a member of the Bobo United Baptist Church . He was a 1983 graduate of Green Forest High School. Kelly loved playing the guitar, fishing and collecting arrowheads.
On Oct. 30, 1998, he was united in marriage with his wife, Angela Marie Bailey, who survives him of the home. He is also survived by one daughter, Isabella Marie Bishop, also of the home; two step-sons, Andrew Oliver Hensley and wife Cheyenne of California and Charles William Bailey of Arkansas; one sister, Elizabeth Liz Ann and husband Sean Keeling of St. Joe; one granddaughter, Kate-Lynne Olivia Hensley; one step-niece, Caitlyn Keeling; his father, Jimmy Joy Bishop of Green Forest; grandmother, Elsie Millikan of Hemit, Calif.; as well as a host of other family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his mother.
Funeral services were held Saturday, Aug. 9, 2008, at Charles M. Nelson Memorial Chapel in Berryville with Brother Benny Clark officiating, under the direction of Nelson Funeral Service.
