PETE PIERCE, a resident of Holiday Island, was born June 9, 1942, in Oakland, Calif., a son of Charles Milton and Pearl (Cobo) Pierce. He died Monday, July 28, 2008, in Rogers, at the age of 66.

Mr. Pierce was a retired truck driver. He was also a member of the Holiday Island Elks Lodge #1042.

On Aug. 25, 1972, he was united in marriage with Sandy Pierce, who survives him of the home. He is also survived by two sons, Richard Pierce of Sandy, Ore., and Robert Booth and wife Alicia of Weston, Fla.; three daughters, Sky and husband Allen Key of Milton-Freewater, Ore., Laury Smith of Castro Valley, Calif., and Cherri Booth of Livermore, Calif.; nine grandchildren, Christine, Jered, Ashley, R.J., Ally, Drew, Bridget, Brady, and Kaylor; three great-grandchildren; one brother, Richard Pierce and wife Joan of Oakland, Calif.; and a host of friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Memorial services were held Thursday, July 31, 2008, at the Holiday Island Community Church with Allen Thrasher officiating.
