MAE STARK, a resident of Green Forest, was born Dec. 21, 1931, in Eldon, Mo., a daughter of Floyd Raymond and Mary Belle (Blevins) Buckner. She died Thursday, July 24, 2008, in Harrison, at the age of 76.

Mrs. Stark was a homemaker. She enjoyed both flower and vegetable gardening. She also loved taking care of her cats and dogs that she adopted over the years.

On April 10, 1959, she was united in marriage with Ed Stark, who survives her of the home. She is also survived by one daughter, LeAnn Stark of Green Forest; two brothers, Roy Buckner of Reeds Spring, Mo., and James Buckner of Waterloo, Iowa; several nieces and nephews and a host of other family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Earl Buckner and Robert Buckner; and one sister, Lorene Alford.

Graveside services were held Monday, July 28, 2008, at Pickens Cemetery with Brother Jerry Spurlock officiating. Interment followed under the direction of Nelson Funeral Service.
