Saturday's Circle the Square to feature rock band Toast
BERRYVILLE -- This Saturday, the first Circle the Square event of the season is scheduled, featuring the rock band Toast.
Toast is comprised of four students from the school of math and science in Hot Springs who perform a mix of classic rock songs from artists such as Bon Jovi, Cheap Trick, Guns N' Roses, and The Cars.
They will be performing from 6 to 10 p.m. on a stage set up in front of the historic old courthouse on the Berryville Public Square.
Many downtown merchants will be extending their hours to accommodate crowds coming to the concert.
In addition, Ozarts, the producer of the concert series, is expanding the venue to include an opportunity for local, non-profit groups to set up fundraising "carnival activities."
There is no fee to set up, but reservations are required by contacting Alexander Virden at (870) 654-3231.
He said the "Carnival of Causes" venue will continue throughout the Circle the Square season, which includes a jazz and blues concert on Aug. 9, and country music on Sept. 13.
He suggests people bring their lawn chairs, shop the square, and sit back and enjoy the concert under the stars.
