Paul Woodward

PAUL WOODWARD, a resident of Berryville, was born June 5, 1935, in Oklahoma City, Okla., a son of Dr. Neil and Velma (Hummel) Woodward. He died Wednesday, July 2, 2008, in his home at the age of 73.

Mr. Woodward worked as a clinical director at Drug Recovery, Inc., Oklahoma City, Okla. His career included: teacher coordinator, Capitol High School, 1963-66; vocational rehab. counselor, State of Oklahoma, 1966-79; vocational tehab. supervisor, O Donoghue Voc. Rehab. Center, 1979-80; clinical director, Drug Recovery, Inc., 1980-1998. His skills included: educator, special ed. counselor, specializing in counseling with substance abuse; counselor, licensed professional counselor in state of Oklahoma. His special achievements included: Charter member of the Board of Directors of Drug Recovery, Inc.; Models of Treatment, Oklahoma Reserve Law Officers Association publication. He was a member of National Rehab. Association; Licensed Professional Counselor; Certified Rehab. Counselor. His Education included: Master of Teaching, Special Education, Central State University.

On Nov. 13, 1955, Paul was united in marriage with Carolyn Humble, who survives him of the home; He is also survived by two sons, David Woodward of Yukon, Okla., and Richard Woodward of Spencer, Okla.; two daughters, Paula Matlock of Duncan, Okla., and Anna Woodward of Berryville; five grandsons and one granddaughter; and one brother, Dr. Neil Woodward of Oklahoma City, Okla.

He was preceded in death by parents.

Memorial services will be held at a later date.
