CARROLL KEELAND, a resident of Berryville, was born Oct. 23, 1926, in Stone County, Mo., a son of Walter L. and Avis (Garrison) Keeland. He died Sunday, June 22, 2008, in his home in Berryville, at the age of 81.
Mr. Keeland was a cattle farmer and of the Pentecostal faith.
He is survived by one daughter, Marianna and husband Harl Smith of Berryville; three sons, Kenneth Keeland and wife Kathryn of Berryville, Donald Keeland and wife Donna of Springdale, and Jimmy Keeland and wife Sharon of Berryville; four grandchildren, Michelle and husband Aaron Black, Tracy Smith and wife Courtney, Leslea and husband Michael Mann and Kendra and husband Justin Lowery; five great-grandchildren, Aspen Taylor Gore, Michael Hunter Mann, Baylea Payge Smith, George Alexander Black and Jarett Clay Mann; and a host of other relatives and friends.
On March 11, 1946, he was united in marriage with Edith Marie Jennings, who preceded him in death. He was also preceded by his parents; two sisters, Velma (Keeland) Ray; and an infant sister, Katherine Keeland.
Funeral services were held Wednesday, June 25, 2008, at the Charles M. Nelson Memorial Chapel in Berryville with Brother Jim Sisco and Brother Russell Martin officiating. Interment followed in the Berryville Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Nelson Funeral Service. Memorial donations may be made to the Gideon's, P.O.
