The Holiday Island Planning Commission meets every Friday at 8:30 a.m. at its office in the Park Shopping Center at 1 Parkcliff Drive, Suite D. Permit and related requests are considered first, followed by other business.

May 30

* Approved Permit #2194 for 270 days to Brice Fawcett to build a 3,090-square-foot house at 25 Beaver Drive.

* Approved Permit #2195 for 120 days to contractor Jay Schuler to build an 816-square-foot garage at 47 Skyview Drive on behalf of property owner Rochelle Becky.

* Approved Permit #2196 for 180 days to developer Tom Dees to nuild a 4,800-square-foot storage building at 5 Parkcliff Drive.

June 6

No actions taken.

June 13

* Approved Permit #2197 for 60 days to contractor Chuck Baer to build a 660-square-foot carport with a 20-foot variance on the front setback at 51A Hillside Drive for property owner Robert Thomas.

* Approved a plan for Bill McClelland to add a 4-foot roof to a deck at 1 Sailboat Drive for property owner Clive Veri.

* Approved a plan for Jack Cross to add a 190-square-foot deck at 21 Quail Run Drive for property owner Glen Koehler.

* Approved a plan for Nile Carrothers to add a 25-foot by 20-foot fence in the backyard at his home at 63 Sailboat Drive and a 16-foot by 24-foot deck.

June 20

* Approved a resolution to require reinspection fees for the building inspector who has to make more than one trip after being called to do a "final" inspection.

* Approved Permit #2198 for 90 days to Wayne Pinley to construct a 358-square-foot shed roof over an existing patio at 14 Beaver Drive. The roof will be tied in to the existing roof and shingled to match the house.

* Approved Permit #2199 for 90 days to Steve Jefferson to place a 1,920-square-foot mobile home at 1 Suntop Lane on behalf of property owner Michael Cates. Clayton Homes of Springfield, Mo., will set the home and provide the mechanical work.

* Approved a plan by Bill McClelland to fill in a 90-foot ditch with concrete at the home of Bill Conger at 15 El Dorado Drive.
