Rep. King chosen minority leader in

GREEN FOREST -- State Representative Bryan King has been named minority leader for Republicans in the Arkansas House of Representatives.

The 100 members of the House include 25 Republicans, and King was a unanimous choice among them to serve as minority leader.

King was elected to the legislature in 2006, representing District 91, which includes Carroll County and part of Boone County. He is a candidate for reelection in November.

King serves on a committee for Aging, Children and Youth, Legislative and Military Affairs, as well as the Public Transportation Committee. He also is a non-voting member of the committee for Agriculture, Forestry, and Economic Development.
