Annual Old-time Open Air Camp meeting gets underway today at King of Kings
CENTER POINT -- The annual Old-time Open Air Camp Meeting of King of Kings Ministries, a full gospel ministry, gets underway today and continues through June 21 at King of Kings Campgrounds near Green Forest.
Daytime services will be at 10 a.m., followed by a free noon meal. Evening services are at 7 p.m., preceeded by gospel singing starting at 6 p.m.
The tentative lineup of evening speakers consists of Derek Stinnett, of West Fork, on June 13; Leo Dye, of Western Grove, on June 14; Arlis Burks, of Harrison, on June 15; Lester Chisum, of Falling Water, on June 16; Leonard "Bob" Chisum, of Falling Water, on June 17; Donnie Chisum, of Marshall, on June 18; Eddie Reed, of Harrison, on June 19; David Owens, of Hector, on June 20; and John Martin, of Oppelo, on June 21.
Camper hook-ups for water and electricity are available at the King of Kings Campgrounds
The campgrounds are located between Green Forst and Denver near the old Center Point community, and signs will be posted. From most parts of Carroll County, persons can take U.S. Hwy. 62 to Green Forest, turn north on Ark. Hwy. 311 for five miles to Farewell, turn right then left onto County Road 841 (also known as Denver Road), drive two and one-half miles to County Road 808, turn right and drive two miles to the campgrounds, located on the left.
