TABITHA EVELYN (WOOD) GINN

TABITHA EVELYN (WOOD) GINN, a resident of Berryville, was born May 2, 1924, in Berryville, a daughter of Dock Alonzo and Julina Mae (Medlin) Wood. She died Wednesday, May 14, 2008, at St. John's Hospital -- Berryville at the age of 84.

Mrs. Ginn was attending First Baptist Church in Berryville and was a mother, retired child care provider and a homemaker.

On April 29, 1941, she was united in marriage with Lawrence E. Ginn, who preceded him in death. She is survived by three sons, Larry Eugene Ginn and his wife Vickie of Shell Knob, Mo., Tommie Webster Ginn and his wife Charlotte of Rogers, and Charles Allen Ginn and Marvin Cure of Houston, Texas; five grandchildren, Landon Ginn and his wife Allisha of Shell Knob, Mo., Adam Foisey, Elliott Ginn, Courtney Ginn and Ethan Ginn; two great-grand children, Kyle McDonald and Brayden Ginn; one brother, Max Wood of Berryville; and one sister, Tura Beshears of Greenwood; several nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Dock Alonzo and Julina Mae Wood; four brothers, Wayne, Kenneth, Robert and Dean Wood; and one sister, Mae Billington.

Funeral services were held Monday, May 19, 2008, at the Charles M. Nelson Memorial Chapel. Interment followed at the Berryville Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Nelson Funeral Service. Memorial donations may be made to the First Baptist Church in Berryville or to the St. John's Foundation of Berryville.
