Janice Allen

JANICE ALLEN, a resident of Berryville, was born March 11, 1948, in Berryville, a daughter of Ernest N. and Helen Lorene (High) Williams. She died Friday, April 25, 2008, in Green Forest, AR, at the age of 60.

Janice was a beautician for more than 25 years and owned and operated Janice's Beauty Barn in Carr Lane, Mo. She was a member of Harvest Assembly in Oak Grove.

She is survived by two daughters, Jo Ann Alvard of Green Forest, and Jerrica and husband Jeff Lee of Gentry; one son, Jeff Allen and wife Nikki of Washburn, Mo.; her mother, Lorene Williams of Berryville; two sisters, Joyce Allen of Berryville and Karen and husband Kendall Pyatt; two brothers, Darrell Williams and wife Leta of Berryville, and Richard Williams and wife Susie of Shell Knob, Mo.; four grandchildren, Elizabeth Allen, Jordan Alvard, Weston Alvard, and Hayden Alvard, one soon to be great-grandchild; many nieces and nephews; many other relatives, and a host of friends.

On July 27, 1968, she was united in marriage with Jerry Duane Allen, who preceded her in death. She was also preceded in death by her father.

Visitation will be from 5 until 8 p.m., Friday, May 2, 2008, at the Charles M. Nelson Memorial Chapel in Berryville. Funeral services will be at 10 a.m., Saturday, May 3, 2008, at Harvest Assembly in Oak Grove, with Brother Jamie Phillips, Rev. Todd Rogers and Rev. Doby Williams officiating. Interment will follow at High Cemetery under the direction of Nelson Funeral Service. Memorial donations may be made to the Janice Allen Memorial Fund, c/o Community First Bank.
