William L. 'Bill' Harrison, Sr.
WILLIAM L. "BILL" HARRISON, SR., a resident of Berryville, was born July 2, 1929, in Janesville, Wisc., a son of Vern and Ruby (Anderson) Harrison. He died Monday, March 10, 2008, in Berryville, at the age of 78.
Mr. Harrison was a veteran, having graduated from the U.S. Naval Acadamy and served in the United States Air Force for 27 years as an engineer and pilot.
On June 4, 1955, he was united in marriage with Marlene (Schalitz) Harrison, who survives him of the home. He is also survived by two sons, Tom Harrison and wife Molly and William Lavern Harrison, Jr. and wife Margarita; one daughter, Pam and husband Jerry Reddick, all of Berryville; one brother, Darrell Harrison and wife Georgia of Travelers Rest, S.C.; five grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; and a host of other family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents and three sisters.
Funeral services were held Thursday, March 13, 2008, at Freeman Heights Baptist Church in Berryville with Rev. Bill Canary and Rev. Darryl Harris officiating.
