Florence Harper Davis Parker

FLORENCE HARPER DAVIS PARKER, a resident of Green Forest, Ark., was born Nov. 11, 1937, in Lapanto, Ark., a daughter of Jimmy J. and Dovie Melissa (Sweeten) Hardin. She departed this life Friday, Feb. 22, 2008, in Springfield, Mo., at the age of 70.

She is survived by one daughter, Florence Gerri Tyler of Green Forest; one sister, Lorene Carr of Lake City, Ark.; two brothers, Jerry Lee Hardin of Springfield, Mo., and Jesse Harold Hardin of Eaustes, Texas; four grandchildren, Jayson Lawson of Fayetteville, Ark., Brandy O'Dell Murray of Green Forest, Candi O'Dell of Paso Robles, Calif., and Rhonda Smithee of Green Forest; four great-grandchildren, Nathaniel, Corey, Destiney and Preston; several nieces and nephews and John W. Davis, of Green Forest.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Bobby Wayne Parker, her parents, one sister and three brothers.

Memorial services will be at 4 p.m. Saturday, March 1, 2008, at the Parker Home located at 400 Tulip Court in Green Forest.
