Softball 'Cats strike out in season opener
BERRYVILLE -- The Lady Bobcats got their first chance to put bat to ball in live action Saturday when they hosted the Harrison Lady Goblins for their season opener.

"It was our first ball game and they were a little nervous,"?Nation said. "We played defense extremely well, made outs when we needed to. We put the bat on the ball some, but didn't get on base."

Carla Goins pitched the six innings and gave up 11 runs, 7 earned, 6 hits, and 2 strikeouts. Arel Ferguson caught.
"Ashley Edens, Megan Gibbins and Cheyenne Brady had catches for outs in the outfield, and Hailey Russell, Jessie Phillips and Tori Wilson threw to first to Krystal Changus for outs,"?Coach Nation said.
