Frances Arlene Madewell
FRANCES ARLENE MADEWELL, 65, of Huntsville, died March 4, 2008, at the Washington Regional Medical Center in Fayetteville. She was born Jan. 14, 1943, at Berryville, the daughter of Arlie Dencle and Martha Lorene Davis Long.
She was a homemaker, a former employee of LaBarge, and a member and past matron of Fort Campbell Chapter, Order of the Eastern Star, in Oak Grove, Ky. She was preceded in death by her father and a sister.
Survivors include her husband of 48 years, Clifford Madewell of the home; two sons and one daughter-in-law, Sanders Lee and Lindsey Marie Madewell of Smyrna, Tenn., and Jeffery Allen Madewell of Chattanooga, Tenn.; one daughter, Janice Madewell of Prairie Grove; her mother, Martha Lorene Long of Berryville; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Junior and Mary Davis of Elizabeth, Colo., and Dencle and Alice Long of Dewey, Okla.; five sisters and brothers-in-law, Donna and John Perkins and Patty and Clyde Ermert, all of Eureka Springs, Gloria and Jerry Taylor of Spring Valley, Janet and Herb Poole of Huntsville, and Sandra and Mark Crates of Kingston; two grandsons, Christopher Madewell of Prairie Grove and Branden Lee Madewell of Smyrna, Tenn.; and one granddaughter, Kendallyn Marie Madewell of Smyrna, Tenn.
Funeral services were held on Monday, March 10, at the Snow Church near Berryville with Rev. Herb Poole officiating. Interment was in the Snow Community Cemetery under the direction of Brashears Funeral Home of Huntsville.
