2:20 a.m. - An abandoned vehicle was checked at Harp's.

3:20 a.m. - An officer tried to locate a vehicle which left the Exxon station without paying for gas.

6:43 a.m. - A citation was issued on Phillips Ave. for a broken headlight.

7:38 a.m. - A citation was issued for an expired vehicle license on S. Springfield Ave.

7:53 a.m. - An officer responded to a two-vehicle traffic accident at Sixth and Butler.

9:37 a.m. - An officer responded to a report of a dead animal on Carroll Ave.

10:47 a.m. - An officer responded to a report of a stray puppy on School St.

11 a.m. - A complaint about trash on School St. was checked.

11:10 a.m. - A complaint about burning trash on Phillips Ave. was checked.

11:18 a.m. - An officer responded to a dog complaint on W. Third St.

2:30 p.m. - Some kittens dumped at Garden Gate were taken to the pound.

5:59 a.m. - A private-property traffic accident was handled at Tyson Foods.

6:45 a.m. - A written warning was issued for a broken headlight at N. Springfield and Main.

6:57 a.m. - A disabled vehicle at Tyson Foods was checked.

10:18 a.m. - A live trap on School St. was checked.

11:40 a.m. - A puppy was picked up on School St. and was taken to the pound.

8 p.m. - Motorist assistance was provided at Exxon.

9 p.m. - Motorist assistance was provided on W. Main St.

12:55 a.m. - An officer intervened in a mother and son argument on School St.

1:22 a.m. - An open door was found at the old gym.

2:13 a.m. - A speeding citation was issued near the sale barn.

1:30 p.m. - A puppy was retrieved from a live trap on School St. and was taken to the pound.

January 27

9:26 a.m. - An officer responded to a medical emergency on N. Springfield Ave.

11:55 a.m. - An officer was flagged down on the Square by a motorist wanting to notify the police that his disabled vehicle might remain there for a day or two.
